I’m a proud member of SKEPP (Dutch-speaking Belgian Skeptics), and I work as a market risk manager in a bank in Brussels, Belgium. As Nassim N. Taleb has taught us, risk managers are in the business of predicting crises. I predicted that a crisis of unseen proportions would shatter the world on Dec 21, 2012. Unfortunately nothing happened. I correctly predicted the 2007-2008 financial crisis though, but failed to impress my manager. That could have something to do with the fact that I made the prediction only in 2009. In an attempt to improve my track record, I recently switched to infinite variance models. My calculations now show that something very bad could happen sooner or later. What and when, I’m not sure, but when it does, I will not hesitate to take credit for the uncanny accuracy of my predictions, thereby demonstrating the supremacy of infinite variance models.
I have less than 250 friends. Not enough to be on Facebook. I’m mentally incapable of condensing my message into a few sentences, let alone 140 characters. No Twitter either. I got banned from eroticdating.com for reasons that are unimportant. The only way you can contact me is by sending me an email via the contact form below.

Pronounced in Spanish, Quixotic Finance sounds like “Chaotic Finance”. Was this intentional?
It certainly wasn’t. But it’s pertinent nonetheless: manifestations of quixotic finance are often chaotic as well…! Thanks for pointing this out!
Brilliant page – hilarious reads. Thank you.
Since you are not on Twitter, I have tweeted the following partial quote from your page. Since you will take credit for your prediction of a mere something, I will follow you moral lead and not attribute the quote. If you don’t like that, just let me know and I will delete it. (I also didn’t attribute it because i cannot fit it into the Twitter character limit)
“My calculations show that something very bad could happen sooner or later. What and when I’m not sure but I will not hesitate to take credit.”
